The Old and the New

When Traveller came out in 1977 a few parts of it were a challenge to follow. This was cleaned up in 1981. I then played it faithfully as new versions came out, trying each and discarding each as they failed the "simple" test. As a result I have a lot of skill and a lot of contexxt and support material for Classic Traveller.

Then in 2023 I discovered Mongoose Traveller and quickly its second edition. In a few months I was hooked. I now play this version as a referee running tabletop games and I play it solo. Because it is not as simple as Classic Traveller, I have created game aids that help me...and may help you.

Game mechanics were updated and all art and styles were beautifully re-done making this an exciting presentation for potential new players. Classic Traveller

The 1981 update to the original 1977 game clarifed key issues. From then on the game was simple, fast-paced, deadly to player characters, and incredibly flexible. I have enjoyed it as a referee for decades.
