Hefry

Hefry (C200423 7 Ni) is home to a battle-scarred, grim, and combative population (hundreds of millions) living on a frozen moon with no atmosphere. This fifty year-old starport was built on the ruins of its predecessor, destroyed in a pirate attack. Vacc suits are required on the surface to survive, although most live inside the giant domed city or underground.
Domed City
Both the moon and its domed city are known as Hefry. Anything outside the dome is a homestead, mining camp, or small industrial plant.
The Twelve Sectors
The City is domed with part of it underground. Airlocks are at the Shipyard, the Scout Base, and at the base of Rim Road. It is designed like a wagon wheel with roads coming out from the center in spokes and a circular Inner Road connecting each. Twelve wedges form distinct sections: Condominiums (two wedges), The Trade Center, Manufacturing Center, Power and Recycling Center (two wedges), Hydroponic Fields and Beds (two wedges), Ore Processing Center, Scout Base, Shipyard and Spaceport, and Shipping and Storage (two wedges).
Hefry Starport
Although off the main trade lane, Hefry is proud home to a Type C starport. Its shipyard is a routine quality installation with reasonable repair facilities. Only unrefined fuel is available. There are always a number of ships present at the starport - most are 100 ton Seekers and Scouts, and 200 ton Free Traders and Far Traders. A few are 400 or 600 ton merchants. Mercenary cruisers and yachts are rare, but they occasionally pass through.
Hefry Scout Base
The Scoutbase supports nine X-boats, six of which are underway at any one time. They are serviced in three cylindrical storage towers capable of holding three each which rise and fall to ground level as needed. Four 100-ton Scout ships also operate from Hefry typically with only one present; these are typically serviced in one of the smaller rectangular hangars. One 300-ton Gazelle-class ship operates from Hefry although it is rarely in system. A single 1000-ton PUCELL class X-boat Tender is also homeported on Hefry. It is serviced in the largest hangar but is rarely docked. There are also three 400-ton SDBs tasked with system defense at Hefry. When combined with the Gazelle-class Close Escort they are a formidable small task force that has successfully protected Hefry for fifty years.

A small trading company specializing in the delivery of passengers and small cargoes without questions to challenging locations. The company has a support contract with the Imperial Scout Service (ISS) and access to many of its bases.
