Liftoff!

(Two of the four PC characters were rolled up.)

A veteran Pilot (Pytor Grinyov) and a veteran Medic (Tabitha Werbi) answered a job listing and showed up at the door of Tilden & Company in Hefry Starport. The offices were clean and well-maintained if not fancy. They were welcomed by Blastick "Blast" Huygensen, Operations Manager, who stuck out his hand, gave a short brief, and answered questions.

Pytor signed and eventually Tabitha did too. They would be delivering small valuable cargos and sometimes passengers to various destinations without fail and without asking a lot of questions. Pay would be normal but bonuses were offered. Tabitha met Caroline in the hallway (who had been with Tilden & Co. for five years) and she also spoke with a past captain. Both indicated that pay was good and the company stood by its employees.

That evening they went to the Breakfast Bar and met Alice. The food was good and the beers were largely free to new customers. They also met a man who had recently been attacked by pirates while inbound to Hefry. Later they looked over their new ship, STARLIT, and made preparations.

The next day they lifted off without trouble and headed out toward the jump point. Their sealed orders said they were headed to Roup, and there was another set of orders sealed within to be opened then.

Roup is an Amber World. They would need to be careful. The passengers were headed to a specific address on the surface of the tainted water-world. Everyone would need filters, there were strict laws to obey, and the Screw Worms were to be avoided during take-off and landing. Not a terrible mission; just one requiring some caution. Then they could refuel from the ocean or up at the orbiting Scout Waystation,...and open the next set of orders.

(Due to some foreign travel, the next game will not be until June 18th at 7 p.m. EDT, but then resumes at every two weeks.)
